Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Shift: Nights – 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:00)
Weekly Breakdown:
Weekly Gross: $2,434.00 Per Week
On W2(Taxable): $1,188.00 Per Week
Stipend(Non-Taxable): $1,246.00 Per Wee
Job Summary: We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse to join the Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum (LDRP) team at a Critical Access Hospital in Polson, Montana. The RN will provide comprehensive care across the obstetrical spectrum including antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and newborn care. This is a full-scope LDRP position requiring strong clinical judgment, adaptability, and excellent interpersonal skills.
Job Responsibilities:
Provide direct patient care to mothers and newborns during labor, delivery, and recovery.
Perform and document sterile vaginal exams.
Triage and assess obstetric patients in collaboration with providers.
Circulate for cesarean sections.
Utilize wireless fetal monitoring and JADA device for PPH when needed.
Respond to obstetric emergencies using NRP protocols.
Float within the OB department to assist with patient care when not assigned an L&D patient.
Start IVs, answer phones, and support other clinical areas within scope if needed.
Maintain accurate, timely documentation using Epic EHR system.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including PT, respiratory, radiology, pharmacy, and social services.
Skills :
Minimum 2 years of recent Labor and Delivery experience.
Experience in full-scope LDRP care.
Ability to circulate in the operating room for C-sections.
Proficiency in triage of obstetric patients.
Skilled in sterile vaginal exams and fetal monitoring.
Comfortable floating within OB units.
Familiarity with Epic charting system (preferred).
Travel nursing experience not required but welcomed.
Required Certifications:
BLS – Basic Life Support (Required)
NRP – Neonatal Resuscitation Program (Required)
CLC – Certified Lactation Counselor (Preferred)
STABLE – Post-Resuscitation and Pre-Transport Stabilization (Preferred)
Licensure:
Valid Montana or Compact State RN license required at the time of submission.
