iDEAL Hire is seeking a travel nurse RN ICU - Intensive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Lander, Wyoming. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: ICU - Intensive Care Unit Discipline: RN Start Date: 07/21/2025 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Overview : Critical care registered nurses provide specialized care to patients experiencing severe medical conditions such as heart attack, stroke, shock, severe trauma, respiratory distress, or other critical issues. This role involves working in high-acuity settings and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to deliver life-saving care. Key Responsibilities : Assess patient conditions and develop/implement individualized care plans. Treat wounds and provide advanced life support. Assist physicians during procedures. Monitor and record patient vital signs. Ensure proper functioning of medical equipment (e.g., ventilators, monitors, IABP) and make necessary adjustments. Administer intravenous fluids and medications. Perform suctioning as needed. Collaborate with the critical care team to deliver high-quality care. Respond to life-threatening situations using nursing standards and protocols. Act as a patient advocate. Provide education and emotional support to patients and their families. May care for pre- and post-operative patients. Some nurses may serve as case managers, policymakers, or perform administrative duties. Facility Requirements : Certifications (must be through the American Heart Association, attached to submission packet): Required: ACLS, BLS, PALS/ENPC. Preferred (not required): TNCC.

Licensure : Valid Wyoming RN or multi-state RN license (must be attached to resume). Experience : Minimum of 2 years of recent ICU RN experience in a hospital setting. Pediatric Care : Candidates may occasionally care for pediatric/adolescent patients (no dedicated pediatric unit at SageWest). Floating : Candidates may need to float between the Lander and Riverton campuses based on facility census.
