Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver high-quality nursing care by ensuring adherence to the nursing care plan. The RN will supervise Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and orientees, fostering a safe and effective environment for both patients and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

- Patient Care: Conduct a comprehensive nursing assessment on all patients within 8 hours of admission, forming the foundation for an individualized care plan. Identify teaching needs and goals related to the patient's diagnosis through collaboration with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate, succinct, and timely documentation of all assessments, interventions, and patient responses in accordance with policy.
- Rehabilitation Participation: Engage in the patient rehabilitation program, prioritizing the education of patients and their families based on identified healthcare needs.
- Discharge Planning: Initiate discharge planning on the day of admission and provide patient education in anticipation of the discharge date.
- Communication: Effectively communicate all pertinent information about patients' status changes to ensure continuity of care and patient safety.
- Supervision and Training: Provide direction, training, and supervision to ancillary nursing personnel, promoting effective decision-making and delegation.
- Environment Safety: Ensure personal and environmental safety as per hospital policies and procedures.
- Team Contribution: Foster a positive and efficient work environment by providing support and reassurance to staff, patients, and families. Participate in team-building activities to enhance unit functionality.
- Professional Development: Pursue ongoing professional growth through continuing education and self-study.

Qualifications:

- BLS Certification required prior to first shift.
- ACLS certification may be required for specific facilities.
- Minimum of two years of bedside clinical experience is required.
- Must possess the skills and competencies necessary to perform effectively in the role.
