Job Description & Requirements Specialty: CVOR Discipline: RN Start Date: 08/03/2025 Duration: 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 8 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse – Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) Location: 400 N State of Franklin Rd, Johnson City, TN 37604-6094 Facility Type: Level 1 Trauma Center Shift: Day – 5x8-Hour Shifts (06:00 AM – 2:30 PM) Contract Type: Travel Assignment Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse – CVOR to join our dynamic surgical services team at a Level 1 Trauma Center in Johnson City, TN. This role is ideal for a nurse with strong cardiovascular OR experience, including trauma and vascular procedures. The RN will participate in surgical case preparation, intraoperative care, and postoperative support while also being part of a rotating on-call schedule. Key Responsibilities: Provide circulating and/or scrub support for cardiovascular, general, vascular, pediatric, and trauma surgeries Ensure patient safety and procedural compliance throughout perioperative phases Collaborate with surgical teams, anesthesiologists, and support staff to deliver quality patient outcomes Respond to emergency cases during on-call hours including overnight and weekend coverage Maintain sterile technique and enforce infection control protocols Schedule & On-Call Requirements: Monday to Friday: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM Occasional extended hours may be required based on surgical needs On-Call Rotation: 10–15 days/month (approx. 12 call shifts/month), including: Rotating weekday calls 1–2 weekends per month Overnight availability as scheduled
Required Qualifications: Minimum 2 years of CVOR nursing experience Experience in Vascular, General OR, Pediatric General OR, and Trauma cases AHA BLS Certification (Active) Must live at least 100 miles from the facility Open to first-time travelers with qualifying experience
