Travel RN – CVOR (Cardiovascular Operating Room) Contract Type: Travel Assignment Experience Required: No first-time travelers accepted EMR System: Cerner (Required) Start Requirement: Unit Details: CVOR Certifications Required: BLS (Basic Life Support) ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) CNOR preferred Preferred Experience: CVOR RNs who can also assist in the General OR. Number of Operating Rooms: Up to 10 active rooms daily: 8 general + 2 CVOR/Heart rooms Average Case Volume: 23–25 surgeries per day Case Types: General Surgery Vascular Orthopedic Endoscopy Urology Note: We handle a wide variety of cases, excluding designated trauma—but we do see urgent cases like stabbings, gunshot wounds, and MVAs. Strong Open Heart Surgery program ‍⚕️ Staffing & Support Tech Support: Yes Charge Nurse on Staff: Yes Scrub Color: Provided by facility Floating Policy: No floating outside of OR CVOR RNs may float to Main OR if needed ⏰ Shifts & Scheduling Shift Options: 8-hour and 12-hour shifts available Weeknight Call Requirements: Begins at 6:30 PM to 6:00 AM Minimum 2 call shifts per 4-week schedule Weekend Call Requirements: Currently every 2nd or 3rd weekend (due to staffing) Expected to shift to every 3rd or 4th weekend once fully staffed
