Job Description:

HumanEdge Health is seeking an experienced Travel RN for a Pre-Op / Ambulatory Surgery assignment in Albany, NY . This role involves working in multiple perioperative areas, supporting pre-operative assessment, recovery, and outpatient surgical preparation in a high-volume surgical setting. A great fit for nurses who thrive in fast-paced, collaborative, patient-focused environments.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform pre-admission assessments and screenings in the PAT unit

Prepare and recover patients in ASU and POCU as needed

Monitor patients pre- and post-procedure, including vital signs, IVs, and sedation recovery

Collaborate with surgical and anesthesia teams to ensure safe and timely care transitions

Maintain detailed and accurate documentation in Epic

Flex across perioperative areas based on unit need

Participate in rotating holiday coverage

Requirements:

Active New York RN license – required

Epic experience – required

BLS & ACLS (AHA) – required

Minimum 2 years of recent experience in PreOp, PACU, or Ambulatory Surgery required

Strong clinical assessment, time management, and communication skills

Previous travel RN experience preferred

Contract Details:

Start Date: August 11, 2025

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 12:00 PM – 8:30 PM

No weekends

Rotating holiday coverage

13-week contract
