Highly skilled and compassionate Emergency Room RN to join the dedicated team at Ira Davenport Memorial Hospital. The nurse will provide direct and individualized nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department of a 10-bed rural facility. This role demands quick critical thinking, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage high-stress situations with professionalism.
Responsibilities Include:
Triage, assess, and treat patients presenting to the ED for emergency care
Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to provide high-quality care
Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and respond to life-threatening emergencies
Document patient care accurately in the EMR
Educate patients and families on conditions, medications, and follow-up care
Ensure all procedures are performed in compliance with hospital policies and protocols
Required Qualifications:
Active RN License – New York (or compact eligible)
Minimum of 2-3 years of recent Emergency Room experience preferred
Strong clinical skills in acute and emergent care settings
Familiarity with rural hospital emergency protocols is a plus
Required Certifications:
BLS – Basic Life Support (AHA)
ACLS – Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support
PALS – Pediatric Advanced Life Support
NIHSS – National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale Certification
