Primary Responsibilities Licensed Practical Nurses deliver direct patient care in various healthcare settings, focusing on basic nursing functions such as medication administration, vital sign monitoring, wound care, and patient education. They work as part of a healthcare team to ensure patients receive safe, compassionate, and effective care. Key Duties and ResponsibilitiesDirect Patient Care Monitor and record patient vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respiration)

Administer prescribed medications via oral, topical, and injection routes

Perform basic wound care, dressing changes, and catheter care

Assist patients with activities of daily living (bathing, eating, mobility)

Collect specimens for laboratory testing

Observe and report changes in patient condition to supervising RN or physician

Patient Monitoring and Assessment Conduct routine health assessments and screenings
