**Shift: Night (3x12-Hour - 19:00 - 07:00)**

**Contract Duration: 22 weeks (must continue into January; earliest end date January 322)**

**Position Overview:** We are seeking an experienced IMCU Float Pool Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in a fast-paced healthcare setting. This role requires flexibility and the ability to float to various units as patient volume dictates. Interested candidates must be comfortable providing care to patients across different age groups, including pediatric patients.

**Key Responsibilities:** - Provide nursing care in the IMCU float pool, supporting various departments as needed. - Float to MedSurg units when patient volume requires. - Manage a maximum patient ratio of 5:1, with an aim of optimizing to 4:1. - Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient care. - Administer medications and treatments in accordance with established protocols. - Monitor and interpret telemetry data, responding appropriately to dysrhythmias. - Maintain detailed and accurate patient records using the EPIC EMR system.

**Qualifications:** - Current North Carolina or multistate nursing license. - Minimum of 2 years nursing experience; first-time travelers are welcome to apply. - Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS. - Proficient in telemetry and skilled in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias. - Comfortable caring for pediatric patients, although they are not commonly admitted. - Must reside at least 40 miles from the facility; valid driver’s license required for address verification.

**Additional Information:** - Blocked scheduling is available based on the initial request but is not guaranteed. - Availability for up to 2 weekends per month and holidays as scheduled; requests for Thanksgiving or New Year's off are accepted, but no Christmas requests will be approved at this time. - All scrubs must be navy or white.
