Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant Discipline: Therapy Start Date: 08/02/2025 Duration: 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 8 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) – Rehab – Traveler (Days) Location: One Medical Plaza, Pampa, TX 79065 Facility Type: 25-bed Critical Access Hospital Setting: Inpatient & Outpatient Rehab Shift: Monday–Friday, 08:00 AM – 05:00 PM Status: Full-Time, Travel Assignment Job Summary: The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) will provide direct therapy services to both inpatient and outpatient populations under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist. The facility serves a wide range of patients including post-acute, orthopedic, med/surg, and swing bed patients in a Level IV trauma hospital. Responsibilities: Deliver occupational therapy treatment plans designed by the supervising OT

Assist patients in regaining independence in activities of daily living (ADLs)

Document treatments, patient response, and progress per facility guidelines

Collaborate with rehab team, nursing, and other healthcare professionals to support care coordination

Support care delivery in multiple units including Med/Surg, ICU, Orthopedics, and Swing Beds

Maintain patient safety and follow infection control protocols, including for COVID-positive patients

Comply with departmental scheduling for occasional weekends or holidays as needed

Requirements: Active COTA license in Texas

Minimum 2 years of experience in inpatient and/or outpatient rehab required

BLS (AHA) certification required

Experience in rural or critical access settings preferred

Strong documentation and time management skills

Additional Information: Trauma Level: IV

Dress Code: Scrubs (no specific color)

Weekend/Holiday Work: As needed by department

COVID patients may be encountered; appropriate PPE provided
