Job Overview As a Transportation Specialist at Spirit Truck Lines, you will play a key role in coordinating freight movement and ensuring timely and cost-effective transportation solutions. You will work closely with drivers, dispatchers, and operations teams to manage shipments, resolve logistics issues, and maintain high service standards.
Key Responsibilities Monitor and track freight movements from origin to destination.
Coordinate with drivers, dispatch, and logistics partners to ensure on-time delivery.
Address and resolve transportation delays or route issues in real time.
Maintain accurate documentation for shipments, billing, and compliance.
Communicate with customers regarding delivery updates and service performance.
Assist in optimizing routes and load planning for efficiency and fuel cost savings.
Use transportation management systems (TMS) to track and schedule shipments.
Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and company safety policies.
Requirements Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred.
2+ years of experience in transportation, logistics, or freight operations.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Proficient in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Familiarity with FMCSA and DOT regulations is a plus.
