Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic educator to join our team at Lincoln Elementary School. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a positive and engaging learning environment that fosters student growth and development. This individual will collaborate with colleagues, parents, and the community to ensure that all students receive a high-quality education tailored to their needs.
The Title I Teacher will be responsible for coordinating and implementing targeted academic interventions, particularly through WIN (What I Need) groups, to support students requiring additional assistance in literacy and other core subjects. This role involves creating and managing schedules for these intervention groups, as well as utilizing technology to track and analyze student progress, ensuring effective interventions. The Title I Teacher will supervise paraprofessionals, provide guidance on progress monitoring, and assist both teachers and paras in utilizing PowerSchool Analytics for data-driven instruction. A key focus will be ensuring that all students are progressing academically, with a particular emphasis on literacy development.
In addition to academic support, the Title I Teacher will oversee family engagement initiatives, including the planning and execution of family nights and other activities that encourage parent participation in their child's education. This position will also be responsible for managing the use of Title I funds for family engagement activities. The teacher will work closely with school leadership to assist in Professional Learning Community (PLC) meetings as needed, offering expertise in literacy and intervention strategies. Collaboration, data analysis, and communication will be essential components of this role in order to drive student success and promote strong family-school partnerships.
Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred. - Valid Idaho teaching certification for the appropriate grade levels. - Proven experience in a classroom setting, preferably within an elementary school environment. - Strong knowledge of instructional strategies and curriculum development. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with students, parents, and colleagues. - Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners. - Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities effectively. - Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive classroom environment. - Proficiency in using educational technology and tools to enhance learning experiences.
