Locum Tenens Trauma Surgeon Opportunity A hospital in Atlanta, Georgia seeks a skilled trauma surgeon for temporary coverage. This position offers a unique opportunity to work with a multidisciplinary team and gain valuable insights into different medical settings. The schedule includes 12-hour in-house call with possible backup call, as well as various shift options, including 12, 15, or 24-hour shifts throughout the week, with occasional weekend or night coverage. The facility averages 15-20 shifts per month. Daily volumes include approximately 35 trauma cases and 35 emergency general surgery (EGS) cases. The EGS census typically ranges from 20-35 patients. Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) provide support, and permanent surgeons are on staff. EPIC is the electronic health record system used. Candidates must be board certified, possess a current Georgia medical license, and meet all other qualifications listed. This assignment requires collaboration, adaptability, and strong clinical skills.
