This is a part-time or temporary non-benefited position.
Description & Details:
PARKING ENFORCEMENT OFFICER - 9-month positions, August 15 to May 15. (No work scheduled is the summer).
Purpose of the position: To provide enforcement of the NDSU parking regulation on campus.
Tasks involved in fulfilling duties/responsibilities:
Daily enforcement of campus parking lots and time zones.
Issue citations, warnings and general parking communications.
Operate handheld citation issuing devices (Android Smart Devices), printers and associated hardware.
Work Schedule:
2-Positions for 12:30pm to 4:30pm shift, Monday through Friday (with limited flexibility)
2-Positions for 4:00pm to 8:00pm shift, Monday through Friday (with limited flexibility)
No work is required (scheduled) on weekends, holidays or when NDSU classes are not in session.
Advertised Pay:
Starting pay is $18.00 per hour.
Minimum Qualifications:
Must have a high school diploma, or GED.
Must possess a valid driver's license.
Ability & willingness to work in the outdoor, hot & cold climate of North Dakota, from August to May.
Ability to politely & professionally engage with confrontational customers.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous parking enforcement, law enforcement and/or security experience.
