CPA or EA (Enrolled Agent) Contract to Hire Job Title: CPA or EA (Enrolled Agent) Contract to Hire Location: Oklahoma City, OK Job Summary: Our client is a reputable CPA firm in Oklahoma City seeking a highly skilled and experienced CPA or EA (Enrolled Agent) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in individual, S Corp, and corporate tax filing, with at least 3 years of relevant experience. This role requires proficiency in preparing tax returns in a timely manner, reconciling balance sheets and bank statements, and ensuring that financial books are up to date for accurate tax preparation. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and file individual, S Corp, and corporate tax returns accurately and efficiently.
Reconcile balance sheets and bank statements to ensure all financial records are accurate and up to date.
Review and analyze financial statements to ensure compliance with tax regulations and identify any discrepancies.
Maintain and update financial books, ensuring all transactions are recorded correctly and timely.
Collaborate with clients to gather necessary financial information and provide guidance on tax-related matters.
Stay current with changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance and provide accurate advice to clients.
Assist in the preparation of financial reports and statements as needed.
Provide support during tax audits and respond to inquiries from tax authorities.
Qualifications: Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Enrolled Agent (EA) designation required.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in individual, S Corp, and corporate tax filing.
Strong knowledge of tax laws and regulations.
Proficiency in preparing tax returns and reconciling financial statements.
Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a timely manner.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in accounting software , ( Drake is used) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Or current Special Enrollment Examination (SEE)
Preferred Skills: Experience with tax preparation software.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Pay Details: $30.00 to $36.00 per hour
