Position Overview: We are seeking a reliable, experienced, and motivated survey crew chief to lead a 2-3 person field crew on a variety of land surveying projects. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, hands-on field experience, and proficiency in modern survey equipment and software. Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage field crews on boundary, topographic, ALTA/NSPS, construction staking, and as-built surveys Operate and maintain GPS, robotic total stations, and data collectors Interpret and execute survey instructions from project managers and CAD teams Ensure accurate and complete field notes, sketches, and data collection Maintain equipment, enforce safety protocols, and ensure compliance with project specs Travel to job sites throughout Louisiana as needed (home nightly in most cases)

Qualifications

5+ years of land surveying experience, including 2+ years as a Crew Chief Proficient in the use of Trimble or similar survey equipment Working knowledge of  Civil 3D, AutoCAD, and ArcGIS Strong understanding of boundary, ALTA, topographic, and construction surveys Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and lift 50+ lbs

Compensation & Benefits
