Online instruction and face-to-face skills instruction Minimum Education Required Other Knowledge Required Credential in the field of surgical technology through a national certification program that is accredited.

Certification must be current.

Minimum three years’ experience in the operating room as a Surgical Technologist, or an OR Nurse.

Prior teaching experience as an instructor in Surgical Technology or in other healthcare training programs is a plus.

Excellent communication skills both verbal and written are a must.
