SUMMARY As an OR Surgical Tech, you are crucial in the efficiency and overall success of operations. You will assist the surgical team by acting as the primary scrub tech who handles the instruments, supplies and equipment during surgical procedures, ensuring sterilization at every point of the process. RESPONSIBILITIES CME maintenance. Must maintain at least 15 hours of Continuing Medical Education (CME) per year Supply check & sterilization. Ensure all supplies, instrumentation and equipment are available and sterilized for surgical procedures and proper operation Orientation. Assist in guiding medical/nursing students and technicians to the unit Draping & maintenance. Assist with draping procedures and demonstrates vigilance in maintaining overall sterility in the operation room Unit development. Help identify goals and objectives of the unit EDUCATION: LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS: PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting. It may be modified in the future and eligible for additional pay components.
