About the Opportunity One of New York City’s most prestigious hospital and healthcare systems is hiring a Certified Dental Assistant to support its Oral Surgery team in Manhattan . This is a full-time contract position with ongoing opportunities , ideal for a skilled dental professional ready to take their career to the next level in a surgical setting.
Key Responsibilities – Dental Assistant (Oral Surgery): Assist oral surgeons during a variety of in-office surgical procedures Prepare and sterilize instruments, exam rooms, and surgical trays Monitor and support patient comfort before, during, and after surgery Take and develop dental X-rays , impressions, and molds as needed Maintain accurate patient records and assist with clinical documentation Educate patients on post-operative care and procedure preparation Ensure full compliance with infection control and safety protocols Coordinate follow-up appointments and assist with patient flow
Required Qualifications – Dental Assistant (Oral Surgery): Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) credential (Required) Associate Degree in Dental Assisting or related field (Required) Minimum 3 years of dental assistant experience (Required) Prior experience in an oral surgery or surgical dental setting strongly preferred
