As a substitute paraprofessional, you will work alongside classroom teachers to support students with special needs, fostering both academic and personal growth. Your role will involve a variety of responsibilities, contributing to the success of students and the classroom environment. Responsibilities: Assist in providing instructional reinforcement for individual students or small groups Help teachers manage the classroom dynamics and maintain a positive learning atmosphere Support administrative tasks, including setting up equipment and preparing educational materials Supervise students during lunch, recess, special classes, field trips, and other activities Cater to students' physical, personal, academic, and emotional needs Assist students with special needs by implementing provisions specified in their IEPs/504 Plans Perform additional duties as delegated by the classroom teacher or school administration Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED equivalent Proficient in English, with strong speaking, reading, and writing skills Compensation: $13-$22/hr
