BayMark Health Services is seeking a dedicated Substance Abuse Counselor to join our team in providing expert addiction treatment and compassionate care. This role involves working closely with individuals dealing with opioid use disorder and other substance abuse challenges, utilizing a combination of medication-assisted treatments and counseling to facilitate recovery and improve patient outcomes. Conduct intake assessments to determine appropriate treatment plans. Provide individual and group counseling sessions to address addiction and co-occurring disorders. Develop and update personalized treatment plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals. Monitor patient progress and make adjustments to treatment plans as necessary. Maintain detailed and confidential patient records. Educate patients and their families on substance abuse and coping mechanisms. Coordinate with healthcare providers, community partners, and resources to support patient treatment and recovery. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information. Knowledge of addiction treatment modalities, especially medication-assisted treatment. Proficiency in maintaining accurate patient records and documentation. Skill in crisis intervention and conflict resolution.
