Student Orientation and Success Student Assistant - Federal Work Study

Job Summary
The University of North Georgia is currently accepting applications for a federal work study student in the Student Orientation and Success department on the Gainesville campus. Student will assist with upkeeping of the Adult Learner and Transfer Lounge, ¿marketing and communication, general office management, SOS events, research, collaborating with other campus partners, assisting SOS staff in multiple locations, and other special projects as assigned.¿¿¿
Responsibilities
Upkeeping for the Adult Learner and Transfer Lounge Creating and updating documents¿¿ Assisting with events (carrying materials, decorating, answering students¿ questions, helping with set up and tear down) Compiling materials for various SOS programs¿¿ Creating advertisements/flyers/digital communications/social media content¿¿ Updating inventory Maintaining storage space Researching work¿based on the needs of the office¿¿ Answering/making phone calls¿(if necessary) Other duties as assigned¿ Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs¿(Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams¿) Professional written and verbal communication¿¿ Positive and friendly attitude¿¿ Patience¿and the ability to adapt¿¿ Creativity and self-motivation¿¿
Required Qualifications
Must be enrolled at the University of North Georgia in a minimum of six (6) credit hours to qualify as a student worker.
Preferred Qualifications
Graphic Design (Adobe, Canva, etc.) experience¿preferred. Knowledge of UNG resources and systems (Banner, UNGconnect, UNG Mobile App, MyUNG, D2L¿) preferred.
