Strategic Sourcing Manager

A top Fortune 50 financial institution in Vienna, VA is currently seeking a Strategic Sourcing Manager to join their team. This is a highly visible hybrid role responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies that drive cost savings, mitigate risk, and support enterprise operations across technology and business services.

About the Opportunity:

Hybrid: Onsite in Vienna, VA 2-3 days per week Schedule: Standard business hours Setting: Corporate headquarters Industry: Financial Services Department: Strategic Sourcing / Procurement Level: Senior / Individual Contributor Responsibilities: The Strategic Sourcing Manager will be responsible for: Developing and implementing sourcing strategies aligned with organizational goals Leading and managing end-to-end RFPs, RFIs, and supplier selection processes Partnering with internal stakeholders to gather requirements and build Statements of Work (SOWs) Negotiating vendor contracts, including MSAs and SLAs, to ensure favorable financial and risk terms Conducting market research and supplier due diligence to identify opportunities for Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) savings Facilitating ongoing vendor performance management and compliance tracking Maintaining comprehensive sourcing documentation and performance records Collaborating cross-functionally with teams such as Procurement, Legal, InfoSec, and Operations Supporting change management and transformation initiatives across sourcing functions Qualifications: 7+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, IT category management, or vendor management Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field (or equivalent experience) Proven experience developing and managing RFPs, RFIs, SOWs , and supplier contracts Deep knowledge of IT sourcing and vendor selection processes Strong data analytics and market research capabilities Advanced negotiation and contract development skills Excellent interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and deliver results in a matrixed environment Desired Skills: Experience in financial services sourcing or procurement environments Exposure to organizational transformation and change management Proficiency with procurement platforms (e.g., SAP Ariba, Coupa ) Strong presentation skills and experience interfacing with senior leadership
