Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and support production teams to ensure daily and long-term objectives are met
- Review schedules, reports, and production metrics; identify gaps and recommend corrective actions
- Monitor labor utilization and address direct/indirect workforce challenges
- Proactively manage production issues (e.g., material shortages, equipment issues, expedited orders) to minimize downtime
- Collaborate across departments to ensure smooth workflow and on-time delivery
- Train, mentor, and motivate team members to achieve performance, safety, and quality standards
- Participate in hiring, performance reviews, and workforce planning
- Communicate expectations clearly and enforce company policies and procedures
- Stay current on industry practices through training and professional development

The Successful Applicant
Qualifications
- Associate's degree or equivalent technical training preferred
- Experience in steel fabrication
- Strong blueprint reading and fabrication process knowledge
- Proven ability to lead teams and resolve production challenges
- Strong communication and time management skills
- Analytical mindset with a proactive approach to process improvement
