Experience: • 24 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months. • 24 months of Intensive Care Unit experience is required with some in the last 24 months. • 3 months of experience with Cerner is preferred from any number of months. Requirements: • Candidates must have a Arizona license or compact license (required for submission). • This role may require floating to additional units and locations • Travel only, local not allowed. ER float positions will require floating between different ER satellite locations in the area. A home base facility will try to be established, however this may not be the facility the clinician is regularly at. A schedule will be made in advance, so clinicians is aware of what location they’ll be reporting to. No block scheduling. Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained. Resume: Each employment history entry must include all the following: detailed duties, hospital size, unit size, trauma level (if applicable), patient ratio, teaching facility. Every Other Weekend Must Work 2 Of 3 Major Holidays Clinician must take and pass dysrhythmia exam within two attempts prior to signing contract. If clinician fails to score 80% in two attempts, then they will be DNU for CS AZ and Sacramento for 6 months. Candidates may not be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity within the past year. Nurse:Patient Ratios: PCU 1:4 MedSurg Tele 1:5-6. Common diagnoses/Types of patients Geriatric patients, ortho patients, strong cath lab program so post procedural patients, caring for groin sites in stepdown unit. Post MI, post Cardiac Cath. CABG post-op day 3-4. Common titratable &/or set rate drips: Heparin, Cardizem, Amiodarone, Nitro, Dopamine, - Dobutamine, Insulin. Travelers must be comfortable managing the majority of these drips. Is there a call or standby requirement?: Yes-on shifts when we end up with excessive staff. We would put them on standby for their 12 hour shift with the understanding that if we end up needing them, we can call them in at any point during those 12 hours. Unit/Department specific orientation: 8 hour day of general hospital orientation, 12 hour shift at West MedTele and 12 hour shift at PCU at West.
