The Staffing Coordinator is responsible for creating and maintaining a master schedule for all employees in KenCCID. This professional creates, modifies and updates the schedule, based on planned an unplanned time off, to include; vacations, sick leave, and emergency requests. The Staffing Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that there is complete and full employee coverage for 30 + Community Homes. This professional provides input in developing employee related work, training and any off-site schedules. This is a full-time non-exempt position, paid on an hourly basis.
The Staffing Coordinator is responsible for preparing and issuing proposed and provisional schedules and to coordinate and consult with relevant management team to include, Managing Director, Program Specialists, Residential Directors, Community House Managers (CHMs), HR Director and CEO to ensure the completion of activities, training, ISP assessments or related tasks before task is started, in relation to employee participation and involvement. This professional also assists the management team in generating schedules for immediate implementation (i.e. revisions) as well as monitor the same schedule’s impact on the master schedule.
As KenCCID’s Community Homes operate 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, the expectation for this position is that the Staffing Coordinator will work a schedule that includes weekend hours and on-call hours, in which the Staffing Coordinator is available to work with RDs and CHMs to fill shifts on an emergent basis.
This position reports to the HR Director.
Key Responsibilities:
Regulatory & Compliance
Ensures that the safety and well-being of the Individuals are protected at all times and that the rights of the Individuals are observed at all times
Comply with requirements set forth under PA Department of Human Services, Office of Developmental Programs (ODP), PA Title 55, § 6100 & 6400 regulations and standards, particularly with regard to staffing ratios
Ensures that there is ample shift staff coverage for all Community Homes due to vacancies for vacations/absences
Assign substitute Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to cover vacant shifts, including weekend and overnight shifts, on an on-call basis
Coordinates with CHMs and RDs to ensure that Community Homes staffing requirements are consistently met
Assist all employees with scheduling and completing paperwork for work schedules

Job Requirements:
Associate degree plus two years of related experience in scheduling with the Nova Timekeeping System preferred or High School diploma and four years’ experience
Valid driver’s license
Organized and effective problem solver
Demonstrated ability to identify, analyze and resolve issues
Ability to work in a fast paced environment and under pressure
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
Effective customer service skills
