POSITION SUMMARY
Reporting to the Manager of Cardiac Cath. Lab and/or designated supervisor, this position will perform a variety of technical and/or nursing procedures that will require independent judgement and initiative of technical level not requiring constant supervision.
EDUCATION/TRAINING/ EXPERIENCE:
Two (2) years of critical care nursing experience, preferably cardiac.
Four (4) years of recent working experience in a full service Cardiac Cath. Lab is preferred.
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES:
Current license as a Registered Nurse in the State of California.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association required.
I.A.B.P. certificate preferred
Assaultive Behavior Management training required within 90 days from date of hire.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Demonstrates knowledge and ensures compliance with the Nurse Practice Act, The Joint Commission and Title 22 standards and guidelines.
Demonstrates compliance with hospital policies and procedures at all times.
Demonstrates strong leadership, organization, communication and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrates ability to relate to clinical personnel and medical staff, as well as ability to interact well with the public.
Demonstrates proficiency in Cerner.
Must have knowledge of PC and applications.
