Staff Accountant

The Staff Accountant will be responsible for maintaining financial records, performing account reconciliations, assisting with budget and close processes, conducting account audits, and maintaining accounts receivable documentation. This role is critical to ensure accurate financial reporting and support overall financial operations and will be involved with all aspects of the accounting process.
Essential Responsibilities:
Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and adjustments Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual account reconciliations Assist in month-end and year-end close processes Maintain the general ledger and support financial statement preparation Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies Reconcile bank statements and monitor cash flow Assist with audits, both internal and external Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions Support budgeting and forecasting activities Maintain accurate records and document financial transactions Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve accounting issues Requirements
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field 1-2 years of accounting experience (Title or mortgage experience is a Plus) Strong knowledge of GAAP Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and Adobe Reader Can understand and communicate conversationally in English both written and verbally Ability to multitask and self-motivate Excellent Attention to Detail and strong organizational skills Must be able to work well in a team environment with a diverse work group Ability to meet tight deadlines and work under pressure Strong communication and customer service skills
