Job Details
Responsibilities: Practice commercial litigation, business and corporate, and securities law Take and defend depositions Draft and argue dispositive motions Attend hearings, mediations, and trials Perform legal research and provide analysis of case law Prepare pleadings and correspondence Communicate with clients, expert witnesses, and opposing counsel Provide exemplary legal counsel to clients
Qualifications: Ideally a licensed member of the NY bar AND NJ Bar any 1st chair and 2nd chair experience is KEY If able and willing to waive into either state could work as well. 8-12 years of litigation experience, preferably in commercial litigation, business and corporate litigation, a lot of business contracts, shareholder disputes etc. Strong academic credentials & excellent research and writing skills Ability to work both independently and as part of a team open to remote and in office work in NYC
