Cunningham Children's Home is seeking a compassionate and skilled Speech & Language Therapist to join our team at Circle Academy . This role provides direct services to students with speech and language needs in a therapeutic educational setting. You'll work closely with students, families, and educational teams to support each child's communication development and academic success.

Circle Academy Urbana is a therapeutic special education school serving students in grades K-12. Our private school is committed to preparing and empowering students for success in school, at home, and in the community. We provide a structured, nurturing, and therapeutic learning environment that supports each student's academic and emotional growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct screenings, diagnostic assessments, and evaluations to determine student needs.
Provide direct speech/language therapy services, including management of articulation, language, fluency, and voice disorders.
Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with school staff and families.
Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and collaborate with teachers on strategies to support student goals.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with school and state requirements.
Provide consultation and recommendations to staff and families.
Stay current on best practices and continue professional development.
Qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
Illinois Professional Educator License with Speech-Language Pathologist endorsement.
ASHA Certification (CCC-SLP) required.
Knowledge of speech/language development, special education regulations, trauma-informed care, and behavior management.
Experience with RTI/MTSS, early childhood development, autism, and assistive technology preferred.
Must be organized, detail-oriented, and able to communicate effectively across disciplines.
Willingness to travel between Urbana and Rossville campuses as needed.

Competitive salary based on education and experience ($55,250 - $92,135 per year).
Small class sizes: 10 or fewer students per class.
Additional support staff: Two additional support staff (Paraeducator and Teaching Assistant) in every classroom.
Tuition Assistance: Support for obtaining LBS1 Certification or Special Education Certification.
Relocation Assistance: Available up to $2,500.
Summer Income: Opportunity to earn additional income over the summer (31 days at $35/hour).
State-of-the-art facilities: Newly constructed, 51,000-square-foot school building.
Additionally, Cunningham Children's Home is a qualified employer under the Public Student Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) program .
