Salary: Hourly pay range: $20 $40, based on experience Spanish Teacher (Part-Time) STEAMspark is seeking a passionate and skilled Spanish Teacher to introduce young children to the fundamentals of the Spanish language and culture in an authentic Montessori environment. Work Schedule Part-time position Classes held during the school day between 8:00 AM 3:00 PM, two to three days per week Exact schedule will be determined based on classroom needs
Key Responsibilities
Spanish Language Instruction Teach engaging, developmentally appropriate Spanish classes for children ages PreK3 through Third Grade Introduce basic vocabulary, conversational phrases, songs, and cultural traditions Support language acquisition through interactive lessons, games, and hands-on activities
Child Engagement & Growth Create a positive and inclusive classroom culture that fosters a love of language and respect for diverse cultures Adapt instruction to accommodate varying skill levels within multi-age groups Provide encouragement and feedback to support each child's progress
Collaboration & Communication Communicate with families and staff about student engagement and milestones Collaborate with Montessori guides and enrichment staff to integrate Spanish language experiences into the broader curriculum Maintain class attendance and simple records
Required Qualifications Fluency in Spanish (native or near-native proficiency) Minimum of 2 years experience teaching Spanish to young children Strong classroom management and communication skills Enthusiasm for working with children ages 3 through 9 in a multi-age setting
Preferred Qualifications Experience in a Montessori or early childhood educational environment Bachelors degree in Education, Spanish, or related field CPR/First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain)
