Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Compact Equipment Service Technician to handle the maintenance, repair, and inspection of small-scale construction and utility machinery. This includes trenchers, tillers, small paving equipment, drillers, and similar tools. The ideal candidate will take pride in delivering high-quality work, follow safety protocols, and maintain a clean, efficient workspace.
Key Responsibilities:
- Complete assigned service and repair tasks efficiently and safely, while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Accurately document service orders, including equipment details, technician notes, diagnostic findings, time logs, parts used, and corrective actions.
- Inspect equipment to identify potential repairs or performance issues through test runs and diagnostics.
- Use technical expertise to assess and resolve equipment malfunctions; seek necessary approvals before proceeding with additional repairs.
- Respond to repair requests in a timely manner, ensuring all work meets performance and safety expectations.
- Handle residual or hazardous materials in compliance with proper disposal procedures.
- Safely operate a variety of service tools and diagnostic equipment, including hydraulic jacks, pneumatic tools, torque wrenches, diagnostic scanners, and pressure washers.
- Keep work areas clean and organized; ensure company tools and assets are used responsibly and maintained in good condition.
- Participate in ongoing training, attend shop meetings, and stay updated on service bulletins and technical developments.
- Conduct test operations on repaired equipment to verify function and adherence to company standards.
- Notify management of any unsafe shop equipment or conditions.
- Be available for overtime work as needed, with the understanding that operational needs may vary.
- Represent the company with professionalism, ensuring positive relationships with internal teams and customers.
- Maintain a personal set of tools required to perform job duties effectively.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to meet company insurance and driving standards
