We are looking for an amazing Senior Staff Accountant to fill this role, which is based in our Doral office. This position is responsible for overseeing the recording, analyzing, and reporting of Princess Cruise Line Compensation and Benefits for both Shipboard and Shoreside personnel. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, detail-oriented, and committed to accuracy, completeness, and compliance. Effective communication across all levels of the company is essential. The work will require persistent and effective follow-up. Here is a summary of what Princess is looking for in its Senior Staff Accountant: Responsibilities Participate in month-end financial close activities, including journal entry analysis to ensure accuracy and timeliness. Reconcile balance sheet accounts and supporting documentation promptly, focusing on operational efficiencies and GAAP compliance. Monitor and process workflows/systems to ensure accurate and timely outputs, with an emphasis on controls and efficiency. Recommend process improvements. Engage with internal and external auditors and respond to requests timely. Conduct variance analysis on relevant accounts. Develop and maintain desktop procedures for assigned responsibilities. Requirements Bachelors degree in accounting or finance (preferred). Minimum of 3-5 years of accounting experience. Strong analytical skills with the ability to multitask. Excellent organizational and communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively. Intermediate to advanced proficiency in MS Excel. Legal authorization to work in the United States (Princess cannot sponsor visas at this time). Additional Details This role supports the financial integrity of Princess Cruise Lines compensation and benefits accounting, ensuring accurate reporting and compliance for shipboard and shoreside personnel. The position involves complex financial data analysis, account reconciliation, and variance analysis, often under tight deadlines. While not a managerial role, it requires leadership in process management, cross-department collaboration, and audit support.
