Summary: Meta is seeking a passionate and experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. This role is perfect for candidates with extensive industry experience tackling various classification and optimization challenges, including but not limited to payment fraud detection, click-through rate prediction, search ranking, text and sentiment classification, recommendation systems, and spam detection. You'll have the opportunity to work on groundbreaking social data and prediction problems that are among the most exciting on the web today. Responsibilities: Champion the team's technical goals and direction to enhance efficiency within the organization. Communicate complex features and system architectures clearly and effectively. Analyze industry trends to identify opportunities for the development of new technologies. Collaborate with organizational leaders to boost team and organizational performance. Identify new opportunities to influence staffing and prioritize innovative ideas across the organization. Gather and synthesize requirements to create a practical feature roadmap. Develop scalable classifiers and tools, applying machine learning, data regression, and rules-based models. Adapt standard machine learning approaches for modern parallel environments (e.g., distributed clusters, multicore systems, and GPU). Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience. At least 12 years of experience in programming languages such as Python, C++, or Java. 8+ years of experience in machine learning, recommendation systems, pattern recognition, data mining, or deep learning techniques. Proven experience leading impactful projects and driving cross-functional engineering efforts. Strong communication skills with the ability to mentor and influence engineers across various teams. Demonstrated track record of planning multi-year roadmaps aligning short-term projects with long-term goals. Preferred Qualifications: Experience launching products used by millions of customers or initiating a new product line.
