The Senior Server Support Technician position is a key role that involves troubleshooting and repairing a range of client products. This includes desktops, laptops, desk side support, enterprise support frameworks (ESF), and servers. You will directly engage with clients to resolve technical issues efficiently and effectively.
Responsibilities: Deliver exceptional customer support for designated equipment.
Address client inquiries professionally.
Accept and manage all service calls within the established service level agreement.
Aim to meet customer service satisfaction metrics as set by company guidelines.
Complete administrative tasks linked to each service call according to established procedures.
Ensure accurate real-time reporting of all service calls as per documented protocols.
Adhere to established policies, guidelines, and procedures for delivering client service.
Maintain control of assets and inventory by ensuring timely turnover of parts and equipment in line with service agreements.
Document all activities accurately and promptly.
Comply with all Safety policies and guidelines consistently.
Adapt to any additional requirements that may arise with the offer of employment.
Perform other duties as necessary to support business needs.
Qualifications: Education and Experience:
Technical school certification or equivalent with 0-2 years of relevant experience is typically required.
Previous customer service experience is an advantage.
Certifications and Qualifications: Maintain all required OEM certifications as directed by management.
Familiarity with relevant software and hardware is essential.
A valid driver's license and reliable transportation, with valid registration and sufficient insurance, are required.
Skills: Strong communication skills to discuss technical issues with clients.
Ability to travel to client locations as needed.
Willingness to drive long distances and take occasional overnight assignments.
Capability to lift and move various computer equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
Possession of a basic repair tool kit is a must.
