ABOUT THE ROLE
The primary focus of this position is to execute tasks and assignments in the area of Civil and Structural Engineering. This position will support the company strategy to reach team goals and priorities.
Position supports Cement manufacturing plants located throughout the US, required national travel up to 60%.

WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH
Ability to perform simple analysis and design, investigation, evaluation and diagnostic testing of existing structures used in our various processes - Cement manufacturing; Aggregate preparations and transport; Distribution terminals with Domes and Silos (concrete or steel); Ready Mix operations; and Fuel Preparation Facilities (Geo cycle).
Provide expertise, technical support and training in the company's Design Safety and Construction, Quality Program (DSCQP) or Structural Integrity Management (SIM) program
Capable of working with consulting engineering outfits in the delivery of projects and confident enough in their knowledge of engineering to be able to review and challenge engineering concepts and solutions proposed by the engineering outfits
Work with external Engineering and Construction outfits to evaluate and arrive at sound Civil and Structural solutions to problems; able to offer practical solutions or find solution to problems that arise at the construction site and make quick decisions on moving forward
Provide technical construction and civil engineering support for new projects (reviewing drawings and specifications)
Provide knowledge and proficiency in concrete cast-in-place, pre stressed and post tension concrete design, as well as structural steel, reinforced masonry and deep foundation design; quality reviews of detailed engineering documents and specifications.
Perform simple analysis and design; carry out investigation; and perform evaluation and diagnostic testing of existing structures.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Education: Bachelor's degree or 7 years of equivalent experience.
Additional Education Preferred: Master's degree
Field of Study Preferred: Civil Engineering with speciality in Structural Engineering degree from an accredited program.
Required Work Experience: 7 years structural engineering experience with EPC project experience preferred
Required Training/Certifications: Project Management and Engineering Certification
Licenses Preferred: Professional Engineering (Civil) license preferred
Required Computer and Software Skills: Microsoft Office Suite, SAP PM, MS Project, AutoCAD
Travel Requirements: 60% National Travel Required
Additional Requirements:
Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
