Job Description

The Senior Project Engineer - Ground Up Commercial Construction opportunity in Los Angeles will:

• Lead project engineering efforts on large-scale ground-up commercial projects, supporting Project Managers and Superintendents in driving project success.
• Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and other project documentation with precision and timeliness.
• Collaborate with design teams, subcontractors, and owners to maintain project alignment and resolve technical challenges.
• Support schedule and budget tracking, proactively identifying risks and opportunities for efficiencies.
• Oversee procurement of critical materials and long-lead items, ensuring timely delivery on building and construction.
• Uphold the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance across all phases of construction.
• Mentor junior project engineers, fostering growth and knowledge sharing within the project team.

The Successful Applicant

The successful Senior Project Engineer - Ground Up Commercial Construction candidate in Los Angeles will:

• 2+ years of commercial ground-up building and construction experience with a reputable GC.
• Strong technical knowledge of construction means, methods, materials, and building codes.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills to manage multiple priorities.
• Proficiency in construction management software (Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, or similar).
• A degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred.
• A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with strong attention to detail.
