Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Medical Assistant to join our dermatology practice. The ideal candidate will have a strong clinical background, excellent interpersonal skills, and a thorough understanding of dermatologic procedures. This position plays a vital role in ensuring smooth clinical operations and supporting physicians. M: 10:30AM-7:30PM Tues: 9:00AM-6:00PMWed: 9:00AM-4:00PMThurs: 9:00AM-4:00PMFriday: 9:00AM-1:00PMEssential Functions:Assist providers during medical and cosmetic procedures (e.g., biopsies, cryotherapy, excisions, laser treatments, and injectables)Prepare exam rooms, instruments, and suppliesObtain and document patient history, vitals, and reason for visitAdminister medications and perform procedures as directed by the physicianScribe for providers during patient visits (as needed)Ensure accurate and timely charting in EMR (Electronic Medical Records)Ensure compliance with clinical protocols and safety standardsMonitor workflow and assist with optimizing efficiency in patient careCoordinate patient care, including follow-up appointments, referrals, and prescription refillsMaintain clinical inventory and order medical suppliesEnsure adherence to HIPAA and OSHA guidelinesRequirementsEducation, Skills, and Experience:Certified Medical Assistant or Registered medical Assistant strongly preferred Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in dermatology or similar outpatient clinical setting Proficiency in dermatologic terminology and common procedures Strong EMR experience; experience in ModMed/EMA strongly preferred Currently BLS/CPR/AED certification Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking skills Physical Requirements:Prolonged periods of standing and walking.Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds at times
