The Senior Manufacturing Engineer will play a lead role in developing new methods for machining & assembly operations in electro-mechanical products and final testing. This person will have the opportunity to learn from a current manufacturing engineer on the team that is retiring to assist in on-boarding, but from there, will serve as a technical leader on the team. Description Responsible for productivity improvements, automation implementation, and Lean initiatives. Develop and Improve processes in a machine shop and assembly environment. Troubleshooting production issues of mechanical and electrical nature. Ability to understand electrical schematics and troubleshoot/identify component level issues. Develop automation, optimized methods, special tooling & machine/test stand designs for the purpose of cost reduction, quality & process enhancement Drive shop floor CI through lean minded process/flow improvements and cross functional kaizen events. Develops requirements for tooling, fixturing, testing and support equipment. Being involved in capital expenditure discussions Employees primary duties require him/her to use discretion and independent judgment.
