Position: Senior Project Manager (Large-Scale IT Projects)

Overview

A long-term contract opportunity for an experienced Senior Project Manager to oversee complex, multi-phase IT initiatives. This role involves managing project scope, schedules, budgets, risks, and cross-functional teams while ensuring deliverables are adopted and integrated into day-to-day operations.

Responsibilities

Lead the planning and delivery of large IT projects, typically lasting six months or more and involving 20+ team members. Create and maintain integrated schedules, budgets, and risk management plans. Monitor progress, resolve issues, and escalate concerns as needed. Coordinate efforts between technical teams, business stakeholders, and vendors. Ensure project requirements are clearly defined and achievable. Incorporate structured change management practices into all phases of the project. Communicate regularly with stakeholders at all levels, including leadership.

Technical Knowledge

Understanding of APIs, system interfaces, and multi-system integrations. Familiarity with IT infrastructure components such as networks, servers, firewalls, load balancers, and cloud platforms. Experience with both on-premises and cloud-based environments. Ability to collaborate with technical staff and vendors to support design, integration, and problem resolution.

Qualifications

Proven experience managing large, cross-functional IT projects. Strong leadership and communication skills. Experience with vendor-supported solutions and integrated technical systems. Ability to manage both project delivery and organizational change.
