Here's What We Need:
The Senior Director of Financial Planning & Analysis leads the FP&A function at Torchy's. This role enables informed decision-making and long-term value creation through financial leadership, forward-looking insights, and influence. The Senior Director of FP&A collaborates with senior leaders across the business to enable Damn Good Growth.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Lead Financial Planning - Manage annual budgeting and monthly and quarterly forecasting processes across the company.
- Lead Financial and Operational Reporting - Create and effectively communicate detailed financial reports and analyses, highlighting trends and providing insights to drive profitability and growth.
- Thought Leadership - Identify future risks and opportunities and make well-informed recommendations balancing short - and long-term impact.
- Executive Communications - Create and deliver clear, visually compelling presentations that articulate financial performance, goals, metrics, and supporting narratives.
- Create and monitor key performance indicators ( KPIs) - Ensure the achievement of financial objectives and goals.
- Compensation Planning Support - Partner with the Total Rewards team to support modeling, impact analysis and execution of compensations programs, including incentive plans and annual compensations cycles.
- Strategic Business Partnering - Establish collaborative relationships with senior leaders across departments to influence decisions and drive results.
- Enterprise Influence - Shape financial strategy in alignment with company-wide goals by advising senior leaders and influencing decisions across all major business functions.
- Team Leadership - Build and elevate a high performing FP&A team through clear vision, talent development, and strategic direction - ensuring the function evolves to meet the growing needs of a dynamic, multi-unit business.
- Additional Responsibilities - Perform other duties as assigned.
How You'll Do It:
- Strategic Thinking - Connect business goals with financial strategy to support growth and margin improvement.
- Collaboration - Build strong relationships across departments and communicate financial concepts clearly to non-finance audiences.
- Analytical Rigor - Dig deep into data and trends to uncover what matters and what needs attention.
- Executive Presence - Convey confidence, clarity, and credibility when interacting with senior leaders, the Board, and cross-functional partners.
- Influence & Alignment - Align financial strategies with company-wide priorities, and influence executive-level stakeholders through sound judgment, persuasive insights, and proactive communication.
QUE-SO here's what we need:
Minimum Qualifications
- 10+ years of progressive experience in financial planning & analysis, corporate finance, or related field.
- 5+ years of leadership experience.
- Experience building and leading an FP&A function in multi-unit or consumer-facing business.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or equivalent work experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- CPA or MBA
- Experience in the restaurant, retail, or hospitality industry.
- Strong command of financial systems and tools (e.g. ERP, budgeting software, dashboarding tools)
- Experience supporting private equity-backed or high-growth organizations.
