As a Senior Automotive Technician, you will diagnose and repair customer vehicles effectively while adhering to our repair standards and guidelines. This role not only focuses on technical skills but also provides the opportunity to engage with customers and colleagues. Compensation: Up to $45.00 per hour based on experience. Key Responsibilities: Diagnose vehicles according to certification and experience levels. Perform work as outlined in the Multi-point Inspection and/or Repair Order with high efficiency and accuracy. Conduct complex and heavy-duty repairs. Communicate technical diagnostics and necessary repairs to non-mechanical stakeholders, including store managers and customers. Recommend essential services to maintain vehicle performance and document all recommendations appropriately. Adhere to safety procedures and promptly report concerns to your supervisor. Work flexible hours, including weekends as needed, and carry out other duties as assigned. Follow all company policies and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook. Qualifications: Proven experience as an automotive technician/mechanic. ASE certifications preferred; equivalent experience may be accepted. Ability to use computerized diagnostic equipment effectively. Valid driver's license is required. Must be at least 18 years of age. Possess a State Inspector License or the ability to obtain it within 30 days of hire (where applicable). High school diploma or equivalent; Technical School experience preferred. Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for up to eight hours per day and walk throughout the shop. Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, and crouching is required; must be able to use arms and hands fully. Capability to lift and move up to 70 pounds regularly. Excellent communication skills with customers and team members. Vision sufficient to detect color, depth, and adjust focus. The Senior Automotive Technician may encounter loud noises, dust, exhaust fumes, and varying temperatures in the workplace. Use of safety goggles or PPE may be necessary.
