Responsibilities
:
The Senior Accountant will be responsible for: Reconcile and analyze approximately 90% of the balance sheet accounts which consist of miscellaneous receivables, fixed assets, accrued others, and intangibles. Handle fixed asset accounting, includes Construction in Progress and related reclasses to fixed asset account Confirm balance sheet reconciliations performed by others and are completed monthly Conduct monthly meeting to review reconciliations with Controller Book accruals and reclasses, as necessary Book balance sheet entries, such as amortization and prepaids Book recurring P&L entries, such as interest, fees, and insurance Attend month-end close meetings and report on findings Prepare monthly capital spend reporting for all entities and plants Analyze actual expenses compared to budget and report on variances Perform other duties, as needed Qualifications: 3+ years of Accounting Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting General understanding of GAAP Working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics GP or large ERP experience Microsoft Office (Intermediate to Advanced Excel) Solid analytical, mathematical, and research skills Great interpersonal skills Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) Strong attention to detail Highly organized Desired Skills: Public Accounting background Background in Oil & Gas, Commodities, and/or Manufacturing
