\*\*Position Details\*\*
We are seeking enthusiastic, responsible, reliable, punctual, and flexible Site Staff to join our team for the 2025-2065 school year. This role involves leading groups of 20-25 students from TK-5th grade in engaging, hands-on activities and providing daily homework support. Teachers are expected to arrive on time and create a safe, educational, and fun experience for all students. Additional tasks will be assigned by the Site Director as needed.
- \*\*Availability:\*\* Monday to Friday, 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm (must be available every day from 2:00-6:00 pm)
- \*\*Rate:\*\* $19 per hour

\*\*General Requirements\*\*
- Experience working with TK-8th grade students
- Reliable transportation
- Must be punctual, reliable, enthusiastic, resourceful, and flexible
- Dedication to children from diverse backgrounds and academic levels
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
\*\*Knowledge of:\*\*
- Basic child development principles and practices
- Safe classroom and outdoor activity procedures
- Classroom management and appropriate student conduct
- Basic record-keeping and communication skills
- Correct English usage, including grammar, spelling, and vocabulary
- Policies and procedures of assigned programs and activities
- Computer and software operations
- Interpersonal skills using tact, patience, and courtesy
- Health and safety regulations
\*\*Commitment:\*\* Must be available for the entire 2025-2026 school year (intersessions not guaranteed)
\*\*Essential Duties\*\*
- Communicate effectively with students and build positive relationships
- Demonstrate strong leadership and a passion for educating and empowering youth
- Apply age-appropriate classroom and behavior management techniques
- Assist with daily attendance tracking
- Transport supplies to and from school sites
- Serve as a role model and encourage positive social interactions among students
- Ensure the health and safety of students by following best practices and protocols
- Independently lead groups of up to 20-25 students from TK-8th grade
- Participate in teacher training sessions focused on Classroom Management
- Review lesson plans and implement them effectively during classes
\*\*Physical Demands\*\*
- Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate classroom and office equipment
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods
- Bending, kneeling, or crouching to assist students
- Visual and auditory ability to monitor student activities
\*\*Work Environment\*\*
- Indoor classroom and outdoor settings
- Frequent interruptions requiring adaptability and flexibility
\*\*Additional Requirements\*\*
- Must pass a background check and TB test
- Must complete required Department of Social Services online training within 90 days of hire
- Ability to engage in physical activities such as walking, running, and jumping with children
