Position Overview
This School Psychologist role involves providing comprehensive psychological services to students with diverse learning, behavioral, and emotional needs through our secure virtual platform. You'll work with a manageable caseload of 46-56 students spanning kindergarten through 12th grade, dedicating 36-37.5 hours weekly to assessment, counseling, consultation, and collaborative planning activities.
Your services will encompass conducting thorough psychological evaluations, providing targeted interventions for academic and behavioral concerns, and supporting students through individual and group counseling sessions. The virtual delivery model allows for flexible scheduling while maintaining consistent, high-quality psychological support tailored to each student's unique circumstances and needs.
Professional Responsibilities
Core duties include conducting comprehensive psychoeducational assessments to determine special education eligibility, developing individualized behavior intervention plans, and providing direct counseling services to students experiencing academic, social, or emotional difficulties. You'll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to implement effective strategies, facilitate virtual parent conferences, and participate in IEP development and review processes.
Your role extends to providing crisis intervention and safety planning services, conducting functional behavior assessments, delivering consultation services to teachers regarding classroom management and student support strategies, and maintaining comprehensive documentation of all psychological services provided. You'll also coordinate with external mental health providers, provide family education and support, and contribute to school-wide mental health initiatives through systemic consultation.
Licensure and Qualifications
Candidates must possess active New Hampshire School Psychologist licensure and hold a Master's degree in School Psychology or related mental health field. A minimum of 2 years of experience providing psychological services in school settings is mandatory, with demonstrated expertise in assessment, intervention, and consultation practices.
Essential qualifications include proficiency with psychological assessment instruments and procedures, experience with virtual counseling and telehealth service delivery, knowledge of evidence-based interventions for student mental health concerns, and familiarity with special education law and evaluation processes.
