What Application Development & Maintenance contributes to Cardinal HealthInformation Technology oversees the effective development, delivery, and operation of computing and information services. This function anticipates, plans, and delivers Information Technology solutions and strategies that enable operations and drive business value.Application Development & Maintenance performs configuration or coding to develop, enhance and sustain the organization's software systems in a cross-functional team environment through adherence to established design control processes and good engineering practices. This job family programs and configures end user applications, systems, databases and websites to achieve the organization's internal needs and externally-facing business needs. Application Development & Maintenance partners with business leaders, investigates user needs and conducts regular assessments, maintenance and enhancements of existing applications.The Omnichannel Sales & Service Enablement team delivers a seamless omnichannel customer experience (CX) through Integrated CRM. We provide opportunities and insights for internal teams to drive sales, service and marketing value and synergies by consolidating customer 360 data and leveraging AI and ML capabilities.ResponsibilitiesDemonstrates knowledge of software development techniques and fluency in software languages and application programming interfaces.Conveys general understanding of hardware/software platforms including but not limited to operating systems, databases, application servers, web servers and integration technologies.Plans and executes system implementations that ensure success and minimize risk of system outages or other negative production impacts.Utilizes conceptual knowledge of architecture standards and database and operating systems.Promotes problem solving ability that allows for effective and timely resolution of system issues including but not limited to production outages.Analyzes production system operations using tools such as monitoring, capacity analysis and outage root cause analysis to identify and drive change that ensures continuous improvement in system stability and performance.Applies knowledge of software development, life cycle, modeling of business processes, application design patterns, business/functional documents.Delivers high level business requirements and provides options analysis.Qualifications8-12 years of experience, preferredBachelor’s degree in related field, or equivalent work experience, preferredSalesforce knowledge and experience highly desiredDemonstrates general understanding of SaaS platforms including but not limited to Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud and Pardot technologies.Ability to define work processes and lead team members in successful implementation and ongoing executionAbility to develop individuals and teamsExcellent oral and written communication skillsExcellent organizational skillsWorking directly with business clients and IT counterparts who work US hoursDemonstrated preferred skills in managing dev / ops in a complex salesforce environmentPreferred experience in developing / delivering salesforce in an agile environment managing parallel sprintsWhat is expected of you and others at this levelManages department operations and supervises professional employees, front line supervisors and/or business support staffParticipates in the development of policies and procedures to achieve specific goalsEnsures employees operate within guidelinesDecisions have a short term impact on work processes, outcomes and customersInteracts with subordinates, peers, customers, and suppliers at various management levels; may interact with senior managementInteractions normally involve resolution of issues related to operations and/or projectsGains consensus from various parties involvedAnticipated salary range: $121,600 - $182,385Bonus eligible: YesBenefits: Cardinal Health offers a wide variety of benefits and programs to support health and well-being.Medical, dental and vision coveragePaid time off planHealth savings account (HSA)401k savings planAccess to wages before pay day with myFlexPayFlexible spending accounts (FSAs)Short- and long-term disability coverageWork-Life resourcesPaid parental leaveHealthy lifestyle programsApplication window anticipated to close: 09/25/2025 *if interested in opportunity, please submit application as soon as possible.The salary range listed is an estimate.
