ATTENDANCE REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION ARE AS FOLLOWS:Non-rotating 40-hour work week, Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. Must be available to work additional hours as needed.

Responsibilities
* Receive open records requests from the public, log all requests and review to determine whether records can be released or if they may need a ruling from the Attorney General's office. * Compile all records from multiple sources (DIMS, COBAN, Laserfiche, property warehouse, forensics, internal affairs, ILEADS, PHOENIX, DMS. * Review, compile records, and create estimates for requestors requesting audio, photos, dash cam and body cam videos. * Review, redact and produce all photos, audio, dash cam videos on discs for each request. * Answer calls from the general public to explain the process of open records, explain Attorney General letters and for status checks on their requests. * Train all Central Records staff on the Texas Public Information Act and how it is applied to the records provided at the front counter and answering questions daily on when to make redactions or when records need to be submitted to the Attorney General. * File maintenance and retention as needed. * May be asked to perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
* Requires an Associates Degree * Minimum of two (2) years of experience * Must be able to pass a Police background * A combination of education and pertinent experience may be considered * Must obtain a TCIC/NCIC less than full access certification within one (1) year of hire * Must obtain Public Information Act Annual Training within one (1) year of hire * Must be able to become a Notary Commission within one (1) year of hire * A valid driver's license is required. Successful out of state candidates must be able to obtain a valid Texas driver's license within 90 days of hire

Basis of Rating
Application review and the City may also conduct additional skill assessment tests, in addition to the panel interview.
