Travel is required, with 50/50 overnight stays (Per Diem and company-paid hotels provided). Must be based in Knoxville, TN. Position Summary: The Retail Merchandising Specialist is key in pricing and organizing our customer's store displays. You will report directly to the Merchandising Manager overseeing your designated area. This role may be permanent or serve as a temporary Sales Trainee as part of your ongoing training program.
Position Responsibilities: Train new team members on effective pricing and merchandising techniques. Create store layouts upon request, place orders via a telxon unit, coordinate deliveries, and price products at the customer’s store. Submit reimbursement forms for travel, auto, gas, per diem, and hotel expenses. Participate in company events by setting up and dismantling our convenience store displays. Document unsalable merchandise for credit processing when re-setting stores. Assist with the delivery and unpacking of orders and returns as needed. Support the Merchandising Manager in managing inventory of merchandising supplies such as tags, hooks, price guns, and labels. Complete any additional duties as assigned. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required. 6 months of experience in merchandising, retail, or a related field. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Excellent customer service abilities. Physical activity: Ability to lift products ranging from 5-25 lbs throughout the day and up to 70 lbs occasionally.
