Your Role
As a Resident Advocate, you’ll play an essential role in creating a safe, welcoming, and supportive environment for individuals experiencing homelessness. You’ll work alongside a deeply committed team of professionals, helping residents feel respected, seen, and supported as they take steps toward stability and housing. This is more than a job—it’s a chance to make a difference every day.
Must be available to work Saturday - Wednesday 10:00pm - 6:30am
Key Responsibilities Include
Build daily, supportive relationships with residents through presence, engagement, and meaningful conversations.
Conduct regular safety and wellness checks of rooms, bathrooms, and facility areas—ensuring the safety, cleanliness, and well-being of all residents.
Respond to resident needs and emergencies, including administering Narcan and CPR, calling emergency services, and de-escalating mental health or substance-related crises.
Maintain the cleanliness of the interior and exterior of the facility, including resident rooms, common areas, and surrounding neighborhood space.
Distribute meals and follow food safety protocols including storage, temperature checks, and disposal.
Assist with room flips by restoring units after discharge—including light repairs, painting, and staging.
Support residents during discharge by helping pack belongings and storing them when needed.
Actively participate in trainings and initiatives around harm reduction, trauma-informed care, and motivational interviewing.
Accurately document key information using the electronic health record (EHR) system.
Communicate clearly with team members, supervisors, and residents, maintaining professionalism and confidentiality at all times.
