RESPONSIBLE FOR:
Performing assessments on Pediatric and Neonatal units, general and critical care respiratory care procedures, , blood gas analysis and interpretation, maintenance and management of equipment and patient and family education in those areas.
Qualifications:
MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:
Associates degree in Respiratory Therapy. Graduate of an accredited school of Respiratory Therapy.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Previous Working Experience in Neonatal or Pediatric Respiratory care, or successful completion of department specific orientation including skills validation of competencies for the duties and responsibilities of this level.
MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:
Credentialed by the National Board for Respiratory Care as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) and Licensed by the State of Georgia under the Composite State Board of Medical Examiners.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Current certifications in BCLS, ACLS/ALS, PALS, and NRP.
Must be actively practicing and maintaining all required competencies.
ADDITIONAL PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Neonatal Pediatric Specialist credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care preferred.
